Company Description Kaapi Stop is a growing South Indian café chain by Naval Foods and Beverages LLP, headquartered in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The brand is built around authentic South Indian filter coffee (Kaapi), served fresh through café outlets, vending machines, and coffee powder for home brewing. Two café formats—Kaapi Stop Elite and Kaapi Stop Express—offer a consistent experience with coffee, tea, sandwiches, toasts, desserts, mojitos, and fresh bakes. Vending machines extend the café experience to offices, campuses, and public spaces, while packaged coffee powder helps customers recreate the signature taste at home. With around 10 locations and quality-first systems, Kaapi Stop is expanding its presence in the Food & Beverages industry.
Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Kaapi Stop’s headquarters in Salem, Tamil Nadu. This position oversees end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for café outlets and central functions. The role involves designing and implementing HR policies, managing performance appraisals, and supporting employee development and training initiatives. The Human Resources Manager will handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and engagement activities to foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining HR records, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards, coordinating payroll inputs with finance, and supporting organizational growth plans.
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives across distributed or multi-location teams.
- Ability to design and implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices aligned with local labor and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in HR documentation, HRIS or related systems, and accurate maintenance of employee records and payroll inputs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, finance, and leadership.
- Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Prior experience in the Food & Beverages, retail, or hospitality sector is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are an advantage.
