Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic HR Manager to lead end-to-end human resource operations in a remote-first environment. This role goes beyond traditional HR; requiring strong ownership of talent acquisition for niche and specialized roles, alongside full employee lifecycle management.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-quality teams, ensuring compliance, optimizing HR processes, and fostering a high-performance, people-centric culture that supports the firm’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Strategy (Core Focus) · Lead recruitment for niche and hard-to-fill roles, including legal, immigration and compliance
· Develop & execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
· Partner with leadership to define hiring roadmaps, workforce planning, and role benchmarking.
· Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical and future roles.
· Ensure a high-quality candidate experience from first touchpoint to onboarding.
· Track and optimize key hiring metrics (time-to-hire, quality of hire, conversion rates).
HR Operations & Administration
· Manage end-to-end HR operations and maintain accurate employee records.
· Ensure proper documentation, HRMS updates, and strict data confidentiality.
· Streamline HR processes for efficiency in a remote/distributed work environment.
Employee Lifecycle & Experience
· Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, engagement, performance, & exit management.
· Design and execute structured onboarding programs for faster integration and productivity.
· Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and culture in a virtual setup.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
· Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution.
· Implement performance management frameworks, feedback systems, and development plans.
· Strengthen a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
HR Policies & Compliance
· Develop, update, and enforce HR policies aligned with business goals.
· Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and internal standards.
· Maintain audit-ready HR documentation and processes.
Attendance, Leave & Payroll Coordination
· Oversee attendance and leave management systems.
· Coordinate with finance/payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely salary processing.
· Maintain discipline records and HR documentation where required.
Statutory Compliance
· Liaise with external consultants for PF, ESIC, and statutory requirements.
· Ensure timely filings and adherence to regulatory obligations.
HR Analytics & Reporting
· Build and maintain HR dashboards, MIS reports, and workforce analytics.
· Provide data-driven insights to leadership for hiring, retention, and productivity.
· Support budgeting and strategic workforce planning.
Team Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and scale the HR function.
· Drive collaboration, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong expertise in niche hiring and talent acquisition strategies
· Solid understanding of HR operations and labour law compliance
· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
· Experience managing remote/distributed teams
· Strong analytical mindset (Excel, HRMS, reporting)
· Leadership, ownership, and decision-making ability
· High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
Qualifications
· MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent
· 4–10 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to recruitment & talent strategy
· Prior experience hiring for specialized or niche roles (legal, tech, consulting, etc.) preferred
· Experience in remote or high-growth environments is a strong advantage
