Position - Manager – Human Resources
Location - Navi Mumbai (Turbhe)
Who are we
HaystackAnalytics is a healthtech company spun out of IIT Bombay, developing products and technology platforms to make NGS-based clinical solutions affordable and accessible to diagnostic laboratories and hospitals worldwide. We are a global innovator of products like TB-WGS and infexn-NGS. Both of these are patented products from HaystackAnalytics disrupting diagnostics and improving patient outcome in their respective domains. Next we are creating the AI Platform for human genomics ‘identifi-NGS’ which is designed to bring a patient's genetic context to Hospitals/doctors/customers enabling personalized therapy and outcome.
Role Overview
The Manager – Human Resources will oversee HR operations (entire employee lifecycle - onboarding to exit), attendance & leave management, performance management, and training. The role focuses on strengthening early-stage retention, reducing attrition, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining effective performance management, and driving smooth HR operations through strong process management and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment Governance & Reporting
- Publish a weekly recruitment dashboard with stakeholders
- Open positions, closures, aging, pipeline status
- Maintain data accuracy and visibility for all stakeholders
- Establish structured review cadence with business teams
2. Onboarding Governance & Employee Integration
- Manage end-to-end candidate onboarding from documentation to joining formalities
- Ensure timely collection and verification of all required onboarding documents
- Conduct smooth induction sessions and training on HR policies, company guidelines, and workplace expectations
- Maintain onboarding trackers, employee records, and regular coordination with stakeholders for seamless employee integration
3. Attendance, Payroll & Compensation Management
- Manage employee attendance records, leave tracking, and monthly attendance reconciliation
- Ensure accurate payroll processing, including salary inputs, deductions, and compliance checks
- Handle DA calculation, compensation structuring, and payroll-related coordination with internal stakeholders
- Maintain payroll accuracy, employee compensation records, and timely resolution of payroll queries
4. Early Lifecycle Retention (0–120 Days Focus)
- Design and monitor 30-60-90-120 days engagement framework
- Track new joiner experience and identify early warning signals
- Intervene in cases of disengagement or drop-out risk
- Work closely with reporting managers for onboarding effectiveness
5. Attrition Control & Analysis
- Track and analyze attrition trends (monthly / quarterly)
- Identify root causes (department-wise / role-wise / tenure-wise)
- Recommend corrective actions to reduce avoidable attrition
- Monitor early attrition (within 3 months) as a key KPI
6. Exit Management
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews (structured and meaningful)
- Reasons for leaving
- Manager / process / compensation gaps
- Share periodic reports with management along with action plans
7. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Standardize recruitment processes and documentation
- Ensure adherence to company policies and audit requirements
- Continuously improve recruitment and onboarding practices
8. Performance Management System (PMS – Officer Level)
- Drive and manage the Performance Management System (PMS) for employees up to Officer level
- Ensure timely goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals
- Coordinate with HODs to maintain consistency and fairness in performance evaluations
- Track completion status and address gaps or delays
- Support calibration discussions and documentation
- Generate insights on performance trends and link them with retention and development actions
Desired Profile
- 3-4 years of experience in HR - Onboarding, compensation management and training
- Experience in Diagnostic Healthcare industry preferred
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive structure, discipline, and accountability
- Reporting To - Head – HR
