About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on HR Manager to lead and manage end-to-end HR functions in a growing SME engaged in engineering product manufacturing and services. The role requires strong experience in managing workforce across sales, service, technical, R&D, and factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for non-IT roles including Sales, Service Engineers, Technical & R&D, Factory / Production / Fabrication staff
- Develop hiring strategies aligned with business growth
- Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning
2. HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment
- Maintain HR documentation, attendance, and payroll coordination
3. Policy Development & Implementation
- Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and processes
- Review and update policies as per organizational needs
- Ensure discipline and company culture adherence
4. Performance Management
- Implement and monitor KPI/KRA systems
- Conduct performance reviews and appraisals
- Work closely with management on productivity improvement
5. Employee Engagement & Retention
- Plan engagement activities and grievance handling
- Improve employee satisfaction and retention strategies
- Build a positive work culture
6. HR Strategy & Leadership
- Act as a bridge between management and employees
- Provide HR insights for business decisions
- Drive organizational development initiatives
Required Candidate Profile
- Experience in SME (40–100 employees) – Mandatory
- Strong exposure to engineering / manufacturing / industrial setup
- Proven experience in hiring for non-IT roles
- Hands-on experience in policy making, performance management, employee engagement
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in HR or relevant field
- Experience in industrial automation / machinery / equipment industry
- Knowledge of HRMS tools and analytics
- Experience in scaling teams in growing organizations
