About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to build and manage the HR function for our growing travel company. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in hiring for sales/customer support teams, employee engagement, HR compliance, performance management, and handling workplace issues professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Hiring
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for travel sales, ticketing, operations, customer support, HR, and back-office roles
- Create job descriptions, source candidates, screen profiles, and conduct interviews
- Build strong hiring pipelines for domestic & international travel process roles
- Coordinate onboarding, induction, and documentation
Employee Relations & Culture
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and retention
- Maintain healthy workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives
- Conduct regular one-on-one discussions and feedback sessions
- Support managers in people-related decision-making
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage attendance, leave, employee files, HR documentation, warning letters, probation reviews, confirmations, and exit formalities
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and POSH regulations
- Handle workplace investigations sensitively and professionally
- Maintain confidentiality in employee matters
Performance Management
- Design and manage KRAs/KPIs for sales and operations teams
- Run performance review processes and performance improvement plans
- Work with team leaders to improve productivity and accountability
Compensation & Payroll
- Coordinate payroll inputs, incentives, attendance deductions, and salary structures
- Conduct salary benchmarking for travel industry hiring
- Manage offer negotiations and compensation discussions
Training & Development
- Identify training needs for sales, customer handling, systems, and compliance
- Conduct onboarding and refresher training
- Work with department heads on employee development
Required Skills
- Strong hiring experience for travel / BPO / sales profiles
- Good understanding of employee law & compliance in India
- Experience handling disciplinary matters
- Strong communication and conflict management
- HR documentation expertise
- Recruitment strategy & retention management
- High emotional maturity and confidentiality
Preferred Experience
- Experience in travel agency / OTA / airline ticketing / travel sales company
- Knowledge of GDS hiring (Amadeus/Sabre/Galileo roles)
- Experience managing 30+ employee teams
