Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Guwahati. This role is responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management for the local team. The Human Resources Manager will design and implement HR policies, manage payroll and benefits administration in coordination with relevant stakeholders, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company standards. Daily activities include supporting managers with workforce planning, conducting training and development initiatives, handling grievance resolution, and maintaining accurate HR records. The person in this role will also contribute to building a positive workplace culture, fostering employee engagement, and supporting organizational change and growth.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks aligned with local labor regulations.
- Proficiency in HR administration, such as payroll coordination, benefits management, and maintaining HR information systems or databases.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills to support employees and coach managers effectively.
- Ability to plan and deliver training programs, support professional development initiatives, and promote a learning-focused culture.
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role, preferably in the automotive, training, or service-oriented industry.
- Comfort working on-site in Guwahati and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and leadership.
