Our work focuses on helping students and parents navigate career decisions while building strong academic and extracurricular profiles for competitive university admissions.
Role Overview
We are looking for an HR Lead – Talent, Culture & Learning Excellence who can build and strengthen the people ecosystem of our growing career counselling institute. This role goes beyond routine HR operations. The HR Lead will be responsible for talent acquisition, onboarding, employee experience, learning systems, performance processes, and culture building
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition and Talent Building
- Recruit high-potential candidates with strong values alignment, learning agility, emotional maturity, and a growth mindset.
- Assess candidates for empathy, listening ability, communication, resilience, and influence, not just qualifications.
- Design structured onboarding journeys to help new team members understand the institute’s culture, expectations, and work standards.
- Build talent pipelines for future counsellors, mentors, trainers, and leadership roles.
2. Culture and Institution Building
- Build a culture rooted in discipline, ownership, empathy, continuous learning, accountability, service excellence, and professionalism.
- Create rituals, systems, and practices that reinforce organisational values in everyday work.
- Translate the institute’s vision into consistent behaviours, habits, and performance standards.
- Strengthen a workplace culture where care and accountability coexist.
3. Learning and Capability Development
- Design and implement a yearly learning framework for counsellors and team members.
- Build capability in counselling fundamentals, parent psychology, student aspirations, communication, emotional intelligence, global education trends, and international admissions.
- Create learning systems such as weekly learning circles, peer coaching, reflection sessions, case discussions, mentorship forums, and expert interactions.
- Ensure learning is practical, continuous, and linked to counselling quality and student-parent experience.
4. Performance and Growth Systems
- Develop competency frameworks for counsellors, managers, and future leaders.
- Create performance systems to measure counselling quality, student and parent experience, behavioural excellence, learning progression, team contribution, and values alignment.
- Support managers in feedback, coaching, and development conversations.
- Build growth pathways that help young professionals mature into mentors and leaders.
5. Emotional and Behavioural Development
- Build programs that help counsellors develop patience, deep listening, emotional steadiness, self-awareness, and resilience.
- Train team members to handle difficult conversations with students and parents maturely and empathetically.
- Strengthen the team’s ability to understand unspoken concerns, stay calm under pressure, and respond constructively to setbacks.
6. Global Competence Development
- Help counsellors understand international education systems, emerging careers, cultural sensitivity, future skills, and cross-cultural communication.
- Encourage benchmarking against global practices in counselling, learning, student guidance, and parent engagement.
- Promote self-learning, knowledge sharing, reflection, feedback, and data-based decision-making.
- Build the belief that excellence is a daily habit, not an occasional event.
Candidate Requirements
- MBA/PGDM in HR or an equivalent qualification preferred.
- 7–12 years of experience in HR, talent development, learning, performance management, or culture-building roles.
- Experience in education, counselling, consulting, coaching, training, or people-centric organisations preferred.
- Prior experience in managing and developing young teams will be an advantage.A
