About the Role
Novetum is looking for a proactive and highly responsible HR Intern who can take ownership of core HR activities at our startup.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants real startup exposure and hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, and people processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support end-to-end recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and maintaining hiring trackers.
• Take ownership of onboarding and induction processes for new joiners to ensure a smooth employee experience.
• Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and internal databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist in drafting and improving HR policies, processes, and employee communication.
• Coordinate attendance, leave records, and basic HR operations on a day-to-day basis.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and help create a positive work culture.
• Work closely with founders and business leaders on people-related requirements and priorities.
• Help identify gaps in current HR practices and suggest practical improvements suitable for a growing startup.
• Ensure timely follow-up on HR tasks and act as a reliable point of contact for employees on basic HR matters.
Requirements:
• Must have completed or be pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management.
• Strong interest in building a career in HR, especially in a startup environment.
• Good understanding of HR basics including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced work-from-office setup.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, Word, and presentation tools is preferred.
