Role Description
We are seeking a proactive and people-oriented HR Generalist to join our growing team in Salem. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, onboarding, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, and HR administration.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in building a positive workplace culture while supporting the company's expansion through strategic recruitment and effective HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical and non-technical positions.
- Coordinate candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, offer letters, onboarding, and induction.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
- Coordinate attendance, leave management, payroll inputs, and HRMS updates.
- Ensure compliance with EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishments Act, and other applicable labour laws.
- Support employee engagement, training, performance appraisal, and retention initiatives.
- Coordinate with engineering colleges for campus recruitment, internships, industrial visits, and faculty engagement programs.
- Draft HR policies, letters, employment documents, and internal communications.
- Handle employee grievances professionally and maintain a positive work environment.
- Prepare HR reports and provide support to management on workforce planning and HR analytics.
- Assist in implementing and improving HR processes and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA (HR) preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Executive.
- Experience handling recruitment, HR operations, and employee lifecycle management.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong recruitment and interviewing skills.
- Good understanding of Tamil Nadu labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Knowledge of EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, payroll processing, and employee documentation.
- Experience using HRMS/payroll software (GreytHR experience is an advantage).
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
- Experience hiring Civil Engineers, CAD/Rebar Detailers, Estimators, or technical professionals.
- Experience with campus recruitment and building relationships with educational institutions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-growing organization.
- Strong initiative with a problem-solving mindset.
