Merakie is a growing experiential marketing agency in Mumbai. We’re looking for an HR Generalist who can be the calm, structured, people-first voice in a fairly crazy (but fun) events business.
This isn’t a “just do recruitment and payroll” role.
You’ll be the one setting up the basics of how Merakie hires, reviews, grows and takes care of its people.
What you’ll own:
- Talent Acquisition – JDs, sourcing, first-round HR interviews, offers, onboarding.
- HR Ops & Compliance – HR handbook, policies, attendance/leave tracking, POSH support, coordination with our virtual CFO for statutory stuff.
- Performance & Growth – co-ordinating quarterly reviews, basic development plans, documenting feedback, helping reduce unnecessary attrition.
- Culture & Engagement – small but meaningful initiatives that make work more human - not just Diwali & Christmas parties.
You’re a good fit if:
- You have 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist (not just one narrow function).
- You like structure, but you’re okay building it in a place that’s still evolving.
- You can balance people empathy with business reality.
- You’re comfortable working directly with the Founder and taking ownership.
Location: Mumbai (on-site, with reasonable flexibility)
