We are looking for a proactive HR Generalist to drive end-to-end recruitment, payroll operations, and HR policy-making as we scale our team.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across multiple roles and departments, including bulk/volume hiring within tight timelines
- Source candidates through job portals, campus drives, consultants, and employee referrals.
- Screen and interview candidates, assessing role-specific and organisational fit
- Coordinate with department heads and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and define job requirements
- Track recruitment funnel metrics — TAT, cost-per-hire, offer-to-joining ratio, early attrition
- Ensure hires meet applicable eligibility and background verification requirements, particularly where SEBI-related compliance is relevant
Payroll & Compensation
- Process monthly payroll inputs (attendance, leaves, incentives/commissions where applicable, reimbursements, new joiners/exits)
- Coordinate with finance/payroll vendors for accurate, timely salary and incentive disbursement
- Handle statutory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS, PT, gratuity)
- Manage full & final settlements for exiting employees
Policy Making & Compliance
- Draft, review, and update HR policies (leave, attendance, code of conduct, confidentiality, etc.)
- Ensure policies align with SEBI's code of conduct expectations for research analyst/advisory firms (e.g., confidentiality of client financial data, conflict-of-interest disclosures)
- Communicate policy updates and ensure adherence across the organisation
- Support internal/statutory audits and compliance documentation
Employee Lifecycle & Engagement
- Manage onboarding and induction, including compliance/training coordination for new hires
- Address employee queries on leave, payroll, and policies
- Support performance appraisal cycles and disciplinary processes
- Drive engagement and retention initiatives across teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–4+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, ideally with bulk hiring exposure in BFSI/fintech or similar fast-scaling environments
- Strong knowledge of recruitment funnels for high-volume hiring
- Working knowledge of payroll systems, incentive/commission structuring, and statutory compliance
- Familiarity with SEBI's regulatory environment is a plus (not mandatory, but understanding client-data confidentiality norms is important)
- Proficiency in HRMS/ATS tools and MS Excel
- Strong stakeholder management skills across departments
Good to Have
- Prior HR experience in a fintech, broking, or financial advisory firm
- Experience designing incentive/variable pay structures for sales or target-driven roles
- HR certification (SHRM, PHR, or equivalent)
