Position Details:
Role: HR Generalist
Qualification: MSW / MBA – HR
Experience: 5 to 7 Years
Location: Madurai - Nilakottai
Job Specification:
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws including Factory Act, PF, ESI, CLRA, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Apprentice Act, etc.
- Maintain statutory registers, returns, licenses, and records as per legal requirements.
- Coordinate with labor authorities and support inspections, renewals, and statutory audits.
2. Payroll & HR Operations
- Coordinate monthly payroll activities including attendance, overtime, leave, and statutory deductions.
- Ensure accuracy and timely processing of payroll inputs.
- Handle employee queries related to payroll, PF, ESI, and statutory benefits.
- Maintain employee personal files, records, and HR documentation.
3. Training & Development
- Identify training needs in coordination with department heads.
- Plan and execute induction programs, statutory training, and skill development programs.
- Maintain training records, MIS, and effectiveness reports.
4. Apprentice Scheme
- Manage apprentice engagement as per Apprentice Act and other schemes.
- Handle onboarding, documentation, attendance, stipend processing, and compliance reporting.
5. Safety, Health & 5S
- Support implementation of safety policies, safety training, and compliance activities.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and maintain safety records.
- Support and sustain 5S, housekeeping, and workplace discipline initiatives.
6. Environment, Social & Governance (ESG)
- Support ESG initiatives related to social compliance, employee welfare, and governance.
- Maintain ESG documentation and support reporting requirements.
7. Audits & Certifications
- Coordinate and support audits including CTPAT, ISO, customer, internal, and statutory audits.
- Prepare audit documentation and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
8. External Awards & Documentation
- Prepare and compile documentation for external awards, certifications, and recognitions.
- Coordinate data collection from departments and ensure accuracy.
9. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, events, and celebrations.
- Handle employee grievances, counseling, and disciplinary processes.
- Support employee welfare activities such as canteen, transport, and statutory benefits.
10. MIS, Digitalization & Admin
- Prepare HR MIS reports related to manpower, attrition, training, and compliance.
- Support HR digitalization initiatives and HRMS usage.
- Handle general administrative activities related to plant HR operations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and labor laws
- Good exposure to payroll processes and HR operations
- Adequate knowledge of safety practices and compliance
- Experience in audits and certification support
- Knowledge of HR MIS, digitalization, and reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Good communication and coordination skills
Language Skills:
- Tamil & English – Mandatory
- Hindi – Added Advantage
