The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting a team of HR Business Partners who provide comprehensive HR services to global functions—including supply chain, corporate finance, legal, information technology (IT), and global defense. This position is responsible for executing and coordinating a wide range of HR activities and processes to ensure seamless HR operations, employee engagement, and compliance with organizational standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding: Facilitate onboarding activities, including preparing communication materials, conducting 30- and 60-day check-ins with new hires, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Offboarding: Oversee the offboarding process by scheduling and conducting exit interviews, collecting feedback, and ensuring all exit documentation is completed.
- RIF (Reduction in Force) Spreadsheets: Maintain and update RIF spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality throughout workforce transition processes.
- Employee Q&A: Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, providing accurate information or directing inquiries to appropriate HR Business Partners.
- People Review Coordination: Support the people review process by gathering data, scheduling meetings, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Requisition Follow-Up: Monitor and follow up on pending requisitions, ensuring timely progression of hiring and internal movement requests.
- Contract Renewals: Track and coordinate contract renewal processes for employees and contractors, ensuring timely notifications and documentation.
- Open and Pending Requisition Management: Combine and manage open and pending requisition lists for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Project Data Management: Collect, organize, and manage HR data related to various projects, ensuring information is up-to-date and accessible for reporting and analysis.
- Job Description Development & Library Management: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to develop, update, and maintain a centralized library of job descriptions. Draft job descriptions as needed.
- Manage and coordinate Talent Organization Review (TOR/9-Box) and Annual Performance Review (APR) processes, ensuring timely scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
- Standardized Communication Templates: Draft and maintain standardized communication templates for HR processes and employee correspondence.
- Organizational Charts: Update and distribute organizational charts to reflect current structure and reporting lines.
- Supervisor Check-Ins: Schedule and assist with regular supervisor check-ins to support employee engagement and performance management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an HR role.
- Experience supporting global teams and functions is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data management tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Working Relationships
- Reports to: Strategic People Partner
- Supports: SPP, HR Business Partners and global functional leaders
- Collaborates with: Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, Legal, and other functional teams
Work Environment
This role may be based in a corporate office, with the potential for hybrid or remote work arrangements depending on business needs. Some global coordination across time zones may be necessary.
