Job Description: HR Generalist Role

Role Overview:
The HR Generalist will manage end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment coordination, process and policy governance, and HR analytics. The candidate should be adaptable to working with HR platforms such as HRIS and reporting tools, and open to adopting new technologies that support HR reporting automation (e.g., Copilot). This role needs flexibility to support business requirements, including occasional extended hours or weekend work during critical situations.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for the Coimbatore location and support employees on HR-related matters.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including offer release, onboarding, confirmations, role changes, and exit formalities.
- Partner with business leaders and managers to address HR operational requirements and employee-related concerns.
- Ensure effective implementation of HR policies, processes, and administrative practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in alignment with internal processes and reporting requirements.
2. Technical Recruitment (Core Responsibility)
- Drive technical hiring for engineering and IT roles such as developers, data engineers, architects, and platform specialists.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements, technical skill sets, and hiring priorities.
- Manage recruitment consultancies and sourcing partners to fulfil open positions efficiently.
- Track recruitment pipelines, coordinate interviews, and manage offer processes.
- Maintain hiring metrics such as time-to-hire, source effectiveness, and offer conversion rates.
- Conduct initial candidate screening and HR interviews for technical roles.
3. Policy & Process Compliance / HR Governance
- Ensure adherence to company HR policies and internal processes across the location.
- Maintain accurate employee MIS data and HR records in HR systems.
- Support governance by maintaining HR documentation, reporting accuracy, and process compliance.
- Coordinate with central HR teams to ensure consistent implementation of HR practices and procedures.
4.HRIS & HR MIS Reports
- Manage HR data and maintain accuracy within the HRIS system.
- Prepare HR MIS reports, workforce dashboards, and hiring reports.
- Use digital tools and AI productivity platforms (e.g., Copilot) to improve HR reporting and operational efficiency.
- Track workforce analytics including attrition, hiring trends, and employee demographics.
5. Employee Engagement & HR Support
- Support employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities.
- Address employee queries and act as the first HR escalation point for the location.
- Facilitate feedback channels and coordinate HR programs at the office level.
Key Skills
- Exposure in technical recruitment for IT or engineering roles.
- Knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Knowledge and adaptable using HRIS systems and HR analytics dashboards.
- Strong capability in HR MIS data management and reporting.
- Ability to work with and manage consultancies, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable adopting digital and AI tools to improve HR workflows.
