HR Consultant — Generalist
Azy Labs is an AI-first tech services startup. We are remote-first, async-friendly,
and we move fast. We are looking for a mid-level HR generalist on a consulting basis
someone who has done this before and can hit the ground running.
Experience: 3–5 years only. No freshers. No senior/director profiles.
What you will own:
- End-to-end hiring — posting JDs, calling candidates, closing offers
- Contracts, offer letters, NDAs, and all employee documentation (fully online)
- Headcount planning and hiring budget alignment with founders
- Leave management, policies, and compliance basics (PF, ESIC awareness)
- Employee lifecycle — onboarding to exit
- Bi-weekly team check-ins and remote culture initiatives
Engagement:
Hourly, remote, flexible hours. Work volume will vary week to week depending
on where we are as a team. Best suited for someone who enjoys consulting
across multiple engagements rather than a single full-time role.
Must have:
- 3–5 years as an HR generalist
- At least 1 year in a startup or small tech company
- Independently closed 10+ positions across roles
- Comfortable working fully remote and async
- Used any HRMS (Zoho, Keka, greytHR, Darwinbox)
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent
Good to have:
- Currently consulting or freelancing independently
- Worked directly with founders
- Uses AI tools (ChatGPT, Notion, Claude) in daily work
