The Lead – Retail People & Culture will act as the Business Partner for all our retail store staff across the country. This role is responsible for driving the people strategy, workforce planning, engagement, performance management, and compliance across the offline retail network. This is a high-impact, field-connected role that ensures our stores are commercially strong and powered by high-performing, well-supported teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Retail Business Partnering • Partner closely with the Head of Offline Retail and Regional Retail Heads • Align people strategy with retail expansion and performance goals • Provide on-ground People & Culture support across store clusters nationally
2. Workforce Planning & Hiring • Lead manpower planning for new store openings and existing stores • Build strong hiring funnels across regions • Ensure staffing productivity benchmarks are met
3. Performance & Productivity • Implement structured performance review processes for retail staff • Drive KPI-linked performance culture (sales, service, productivity) • Support performance improvement and capability development
4. Engagement & Retention • Monitor attrition trends and develop retention strategies • Conduct store visits and regular connect sessions • Drive engagement initiatives tailored for frontline retail teams • Strengthen store culture aligned with Agilitas values
5. Training & Capability Building • Partner with Retail Training to identify capability gaps • Support onboarding and induction programs • Enable leadership development for Store Managers • Ensure adherence to training standards across regions
6. Compliance & Governance • Ensure statutory and labour law compliance across all retail locations • Oversee attendance, leave, payroll coordination, and documentation • Maintain process discipline and policy adherence
7. Retail Expansion Support • Ensure People & Culture readiness for new store launches • Drive pre-opening hiring, onboarding, and team setup • Build scalable people processes aligned to retail growth plans
What We’re Looking For
• 8–12 years of experience in Retail People & Culture / HRBP roles
• Experience managing multi-location, frontline-heavy workforce
• Strong understanding of retail performance metrics
• Comfortable with extensive travel and field immersion
• Experience in fast-scaling consumer or retail businesses preferred
