Qualifications & Experience
● Education: MSW/MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent
● Experience: 10+ years in HR, with HRBP experience
● Strong understanding of manufacturing / industrial HR practices.
Role Purpose
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives by ensuring effective manpower planning, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and overall workforce productivity. The role focuses on enabling smooth business operations through proactive HR interventions and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manpower Planning & Talent Management
● Understand business requirements and forecast manpower needs.
● Ensure timely availability of workforce with effective sourcing strategies.
● Develop backup hiring plans to reduce lead time and operational disruptions.
● Create and maintain job descriptions, skill matrices, and workforce plans.
2. Employee Engagement & Development
● Design and implement employee engagement strategies aligned with company policies and regulations.
● Develop onboarding and training programs for new employees.
● Ensure employees are equipped to meet operational performance standards.
● Drive initiatives to enhance employee morale and motivation.
3. Performance Management
● Develop and implement SMART goal-setting frameworks for white-collar employees.
● Establish performance tracking systems for blue-collar employees.
● Monitor productivity and performance metrics regularly.
● Identify non-performers and implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
● Support continuous skill development and performance enhancement.
4. Compensation & Benefits
● Design cost-effective compensation structures, benefits, and short-term & long-term incentive schemes.
● Ensure competitive and fair compensation practices to improve employee retention.
● Align reward systems with business performance goals.
5. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling
● Develop structured grievance handling mechanisms.
● Address employee concerns proactively and maintain a positive work environment.
● Strengthen employee relations through transparent communication and policies.
6. Compliance & Risk Management
● Ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
● Monitor HR compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
● Maintain documentation and audit readiness for regulatory requirements.
7. Payroll & HR Operations
● Oversee payroll administration in compliance with legal requirements.
● Ensure accuracy and timeliness of salary processing.
● Manage HR operations efficiently to support business continuity.
8. Contract Labour Management
● Manage contract labour in line with applicable labour laws.
● Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and vendor coordination.
9. Administration & Facilities Management
● Oversee administration of employee facilities such as canteen, security, crèche, and general administration.
● Ensure employee welfare facilities are maintained effectively.
10. Organizational Monitoring & Support
● Continuously assess organizational health and identify people-related risks.
● Implement proactive HR interventions to ensure smooth operations.
● Support leadership with HR insights and workforce strategies.
11. Additional Responsibilities
● Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
