About Jet Set Jobs
Jet Set Jobs (Sachdeva Academy Private Limited) is India's leading German language training and overseas placement company for GNM and BSc Nursing graduates. With 583+ candidates who have started their Germany journey with us, we offer free A1–B2 German language training, end-to-end documentation support, and visa assistance - placing Indian nurses in Germany and Austria at zero cost to candidates, with placement fees covered by European employers. Our team of 8 certified trainers and a dedicated sales and operations team operates from South Patel Nagar, New Delhi.
About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, people-first Manager – People & Culture to be the connective tissue of the Jet Set Jobs organisation. This is not a transactional HR role. You will be a trusted confidant of the leadership, the guardian of our internal culture, and the human bridge between management, our team, and the 583+ nursing candidates currently enrolled in our training programme. You will own the full employee lifecycle, be the first to sense friction, gossip, or disengagement — and act before it becomes a problem. You will also ensure our candidate community feels motivated, heard, and supported throughout their Germany journey.
Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic People Partnership
• Act as a close confidant and trusted advisor to the Founder and leadership team — providing real-time visibility into team morale, performance, and organisational dynamics
• Maintain a continuous pulse on team working patterns, productivity rhythms, and adherence to performance standards
• Flag and address instances of disengagement, underperformance, or non-adherence to work standards proactively and discreetly
• Keep all team members — trainers, sales counsellors, and operations staff — aligned to the growth objectives of the organisation
• Serve as the management’s eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring leadership is never blindsided by people issues
B. Culture, Conflict & Team Health
• Proactively identify and shut down rumours, misinformation, or negative narratives about the organisation before they spread
• Mediate and resolve interpersonal conflicts, ego clashes, and friction among trainers and team members before they escalate
• Build a culture of accountability, respect, and shared purpose across all functions
• Design and run team engagement initiatives — recognition programmes, team activities, and communication rituals that strengthen cohesion
• Be approachable to all employees as a safe, neutral person to voice concerns, without compromising management interests
C. Candidate Experience & Community
• Act as the primary point of contact and listening ear for the 583+ nurses enrolled in our German language training programme
• Ensure candidates remain motivated, engaged, and emotionally supported throughout their A1–B2 training journey and visa process
• Collect, document, and route candidate feedback to the relevant teams — trainers, sales, operations — and close the loop with candidates
• Identify early signs of candidate dropout risk and intervene with personalised support or escalation to management
• Foster a positive community spirit among batches — coordinate milestone celebrations, progress updates, and peer motivation
D. Performance Management & Employee Lifecycle
• Own onboarding for all new hires — induction, culture orientation, and 30/60/90-day check-ins
• Design and administer performance review cycles, KPI frameworks, and improvement plans (PIPs) across functions
• Lead all disciplinary processes end-to-end — documentation, conversations, and closures — ensuring legal compliance and professionalism
• Own the full termination process — from initiating exit conversations to documentation, final settlement, and off-boarding — acting as the official face of these decisions to protect management
• Manage exit interviews and synthesise learnings to reduce attrition
E. HR Operations & Compliance
• Maintain accurate and updated employee records, contracts, offer letters, and HR documentation
• Manage attendance, leave policies, and ensure consistent enforcement of company HR policies
• Support hiring across functions — coordinating JD creation, interview scheduling, and candidate communication with relevant function heads
• Ensure all HR practices comply with applicable labour laws and company standards
You are a great fit if...
• You have 3–6 years of HR or People Operations experience, ideally in a fast-growth SME, education, or services company
• You are highly emotionally intelligent — you can read a room, sense unspoken tension, and act with discretion
• You are comfortable being the difficult person in difficult situations — giving hard feedback, managing exits, and holding the line
• You have strong communication skills in Hindi and English — you can connect equally well with a sales counsellor and a German-aspiring nurse
• You are organised, process-driven, and can manage multiple employee and candidate touchpoints simultaneously
• You genuinely care about people — not just processes
• You understand that culture is built in corridors and WhatsApp groups, not just in policy documents
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (MBA HR preferred)
• 3–6 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated ownership of culture, engagement, and employee lifecycle
• Prior experience in a training institute, ed-tech, staffing, or overseas mobility company is a strong plus
• Working knowledge of labour laws, HR compliance, and documentation practices
• Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace; familiarity with HRMS or LMS tools is a bonus
