Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) Manager will act as a strategic partner to business leaders within the wastewater treatment operations, ensuring alignment between business objectives and HR strategies. The role focuses on workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and compliance with labor laws while supporting operational efficiency across plant operations, engineering, maintenance, and corporate functions. The HRBP Manager will play a critical role in strengthening the people strategy to support operational excellence, safety culture, and sustainable growth in the wastewater management industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Partnership
• Partner with plant heads, operations managers, and department leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
• Provide HR insights and recommendations to improve workforce productivity and operational performance.
• Drive HR initiatives supporting plant expansion, project implementation, and operational efficiency.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers for workplace concerns and conflict resolution.
• Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives across plant and office locations.
• Ensure strong communication channels between management and employees.
3. Performance Management
• Drive the performance management process including goal setting, reviews, and feedback cycles.
• Guide managers on performance improvement plans and capability development.
• Support leadership in identifying high-potential employees and development programs.
4. HR Operations & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, statutory compliance, and company HR policies.
• Support disciplinary processes, investigations, and grievance handling when required.
• Ensure HR processes are aligned with environmental and safety compliance standards relevant to the industry.
5. Learning & Development
• Identify training needs across operations, engineering, and support functions.
• Facilitate technical, safety, and leadership development programs.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and capability building.
6. Change Management & Organizational Development
• Support organizational restructuring, cultural transformation, and change initiatives.
• Drive initiatives to enhance employee productivity, retention, and engagement.
• Assist leadership in implementing HR best practices within plant operations.

• Experience working with plant operations or industrial workforce

Qualifications
• MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related field
• Additional certification in Labor Laws / Industrial Relations preferred Experience
• 5-10 years of progressive HR experience
• Minimum 3–5 years as HRBP / HR Manager supporting plant or operations teams
• Experience in wastewater treatment, environmental services, manufacturing, chemical, or infrastructure industries preferred
