This role will be responsible for looking after the HR function for the Institutional Equities business at Avendus Group and will be based out of Chennai
The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas related to the human resources field; end to end employee lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
• Partner with business leaders to understand current and future hiring requirements and translate them into actionable recruitment plans.
• Drive end-to-end recruitment across functions and levels, including leadership, lateral, and campus hiring.
• Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through market mapping, networking, referrals, and external partnerships.
• Work closely with external search firms, recruitment partners, and educational institutions where applicable.
2. Business Partnering
• Act as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders on organization structure, manpower planning, and workforce optimization.
• Support managers in talent decisions, team design, and succession planning.
• Provide insights on market trends, talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring competitiveness.
• Facilitate smooth onboarding and integration of new hires to improve retention and productivity.
3. Talent Management & Employee Experience
• Support performance management, goal setting, and talent review processes.
• Partner with managers to identify critical talent and build development plans.
• Analyze attrition trends and recommend retention interventions.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and strengthen employee experience across the talent lifecycle.
4. HR Operations & Governance
• Ensure recruitment and HR processes comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Maintain recruitment dashboards, hiring forecasts, and management reports.
• Support HR projects related to organizational effectiveness, process improvement, and HR transformation.
Qualifications & Experience
• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
• 2 – 4 years of HR experience with significant exposure to talent acquisition and business partnering.
• Experience in direct sourcing and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of talent markets, sourcing strategies, and recruitment best practices.
