Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned HR professional to partner closely with business leaders and manage the full spectrum of HR activities. This role places strong emphasis on statutory compliance, employee engagement, and talent retention, while also driving forward-looking people practices and organizational development.
The ideal candidate will bring maturity, strong business partnering capability, and the ability to influence culture and drive meaningful HR impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure end-to-end compliance with applicable labour laws including PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, Maternity, POSH, etc.
- Manage all statutory registrations, licenses, renewals, and audits.
- Maintain accurate statutory records and liaise with external consultants.
- Lead responses to government inspections and ensure timely closure of observations.
2. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Design and execute structured employee engagement initiatives across the year.
- Conduct pulse surveys, feedback forums, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Drive employee well-being and inclusion initiatives.
- Strengthen internal communication and reinforce organizational culture.
3. Talent Retention
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit.
- Identify potential attrition risks and proactively implement retention strategies.
- Conduct stay and exit interviews; analyze trends and present insights to leadership.
- Support development planning, recognition programs, and internal mobility initiatives.
4. HR Operations
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data, employee records, and documentation.
- Oversee leave & attendance management, HRIS, and payroll coordination.
- Support performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, and evaluations.
- Drive smooth, compliant onboarding and exit processes.
5. Strategic HR & Business Partnership
- Review and enhance HR policies, processes, and frameworks.
- Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
- Leverage HR analytics to drive decisions on retention, productivity, and engagement.
- Support organizational capability building and change initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- High level of empathy, integrity, and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple locations/sites (preferred)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 7–10 years of relevant HR experience
- Hands-on experience in statutory compliance and employee engagement is essential
- Prior experience in a growing or evolving organization will be an advantage
