About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive HR Officer to support our growing care organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training coordination, and HR administration within a fast-paced healthcare and care environment.
This role requires someone who understands the importance of safeguarding, staff wellbeing, and maintaining high standards of care through effective people management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate recruitment activities for carers, support workers, nurses, and office staff
· Prepare job adverts, shortlist candidates, and arrange interviews
· Conduct pre-employment checks including references, DBS checks, right-to-work verification, and compliance documentation
· Manage employee onboarding and induction processes
· Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
· Prepare contracts, offer letters, and HR correspondence
· Monitor probation periods, annual leave, absences, and staff documentation
· Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes
· Ensure compliance with employment law, CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, and internal policies
Skills and Experience required:
· Previous HR experience, preferably within healthcare, domiciliary care, nursing homes, or social care
· Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
· Understanding of safeguarding and compliance requirements in the care sector
· Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
· Ability to handle confidential information professionally
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems

Working Hours:
· UK working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (UK Time)
· Flexible working arrangements available
· Alternate weekends required for on-call support
