Role Summary
We are looking for a systematic and tech-savvy HR professional to bridge the gap between creative talent acquisition and operational excellence. You will not only find the right "stars" for our production and technical teams but also build the backend systems that keep our workforce compliant and efficient. This role is ideal for someone who understands that a media company runs on a mix of freelance agility and corporate stability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Recruiting & Technical Sourcing
Creative & Tech Pipelines: Source and vet candidates for specialized roles such as Video Editors, Motion Designers, Broadcast Engineers and Content Strategists.
Technical Literacy: Conduct initial technical screenings to ensure candidates have the required software proficiency (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve or Python for media automation).
2. HR Operations & Systems Management
HRIS Ownership: Maintain and optimize our HR Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring data integrity and automated workflows.
Process Engineering: Design and document "standard operating procedures" (SOPs) for onboarding, offboarding and leave management to remove manual bottlenecks.
Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all digital records, employment contracts and IP-related clauses (crucial in media) are compliant with local labor laws.
3. Cultural Stewardship & Employee Experience
Creative Alignment: Bridge the gap between "Corporate HR" and "Creative Chaos." You will develop engagement programs that celebrate project wraps, premieres and creative milestones.
Feedback Loops: Implement systematic "Pulse Surveys" to gauge team morale during high-intensity production periods, turning raw data into actionable culture improvements.
Inclusion in Media: Lead DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives to ensure our content and our teams reflect a global audience.
Professional Development: Manage a "Technical Upskilling" budget, allowing creative staff to stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., AI in media, new rendering engines, or virtual production).
Experience : 3–5 years in HR, ideally within a Media, Production or Creative Agency environment.
Salary : 30,000 - 40,000 Per Month
Location : preferably Chennai or ready to relocate ( immediate joiners only )
Technical Savvy : Familiarity with the "Media Tech Stack" knowing the difference between a Junior Editor and a Colorist or a UI Designer and a UX Researcher.
