About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Seafarer to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the complete HR lifecycle of seafarers, including recruitment, onboarding, crew documentation, compliance, payroll coordination, crew welfare, and employee records.
This role requires excellent coordination skills and the ability to work closely with vessel crew, operations, and management to ensure smooth crew management and compliance with maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of seafarers as per operational requirements.
- Verify and maintain crew documents, including CDC, Passport, INDOS, STCW Certificates, Medical Certificates, and other statutory records.
- Track certificate validity and ensure timely renewals.
- Manage crew sign-on and sign-off documentation and maintain crew movement records.
- Coordinate attendance, payroll inputs, leave records, and crew rotation schedules.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update the HRMS regularly.
- Handle crew grievances and support employee welfare initiatives.
- Coordinate probation reviews, contract renewals, confirmations, and performance-related documentation.
- Manage exit formalities, final settlement coordination, and employee documentation.
- Prepare HR reports and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable maritime regulations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Management, or a related field.
- MBA in Human Resources will be an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of HR experience.
- Experience in the Shipping, Maritime, Logistics, Offshore, or Crew Management industry is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant maritime HR exposure may also apply.
Required Skills

- Knowledge of HRMS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Work Environment
- Office-based role with regular coordination with vessel crew, operations, and management.
- Dynamic and fast-paced work environment supporting marine and shipping operations.
- May require flexibility in working hours based on vessel schedules, crew changes, and operational requirements.
- Occasional travel to ports or vessels, if required.
