About The Role
Bikham Healthcare is seeking an experienced and strategic HR leader to oversee and enhance the company's people operations as it expands into international markets. This full-time role is remote, based in India, with fixed night shifts from 7 pm to 4 am IST and weekends off. The ideal candidate will bring over six years of HR leadership experience, particularly with exposure to US recruitment processes and night shift operations in the last two years. The primary focus of this role is to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and systems that support the company's growth trajectory while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
The successful candidate will work closely with the founders and leadership team to align HR initiatives with overall business objectives. This involves managing talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and organizational development. The role demands a hands-on approach to building scalable HR processes in both India and the US, ensuring legal compliance and operational excellence. As a key member of the leadership team, the HR head will drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, support organizational change, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of six years in HR leadership roles, with significant experience managing HR operations in India. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in US HR/recruitment processes and night shifts in the last two years. Proven experience overseeing recruitment teams, HR systems, and global workforce management is essential.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields. An MBA in HR or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of HR policies, compliance, and organizational development. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. Ability to design and implement HR SOPs, policies, and employee handbooks. Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities. Strategic thinking combined with operational execution skills are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Department Management: Lead and manage the entire HR function, building systems that support organizational growth and international expansion. Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on people strategies and organizational development.
Talent Acquisition Oversight: Supervise the recruitment team, ensuring efficient hiring processes for both local and US-based roles. Participate in sourcing senior and specialized talent, aligning recruitment efforts with company growth plans.
HR Policies, SOPs & Employee Handbook: Design, develop, and implement HR policies, SOPs, and organizational procedures. Maintain comprehensive employee handbooks and HR documentation, ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws and US regulations where applicable.
Employee Relations & HR Support: Serve as the primary HR contact for employees, addressing concerns and workplace issues professionally. Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and open communication.
Performance Management Coordination: Collaborate with the Performance Management System (PMS) team to conduct regular check-ins, surveys, and performance reviews. Collect and analyze feedback to support employee development and organizational effectiveness.
Employee Engagement & Culture Building: Develop initiatives that promote employee motivation, satisfaction, and retention. Implement programs that reinforce a positive, growth-oriented workplace culture.
HR Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and HR best practices across jurisdictions. Maintain structured HR records and documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.
