Job Summary
The Technology Refurbishment Associate is responsible for evaluating, refurbishing, and securely processing donated electronic devices to ensure functional quality and data security standards are met. The position combines hands-on technical work with structured processes related to testing, repair, data sanitization, documentation, and compliance in a fast-paced, collaborative warehouse environment.
Job Responsibilities / Duties

Evaluate donated electronic devices to determine condition, specifications, and refurbishment potential.

Perform diagnostic testing and document results using approved tools and systems.

Conduct repairs, part replacements, and refurbishment activities according to organizational standards.

Ensure secure data sanitization of all data-bearing assets following approved methods and industry standards.

Verify and document data destruction activities to meet compliance requirements.

Maintain accurate operational and compliance records related to testing, refurbishment, and data security.

Participate in quality assurance activities and process verification.

Follow safety, security, and standard operating procedures within the warehouse and data destruction environments.

Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Experience in electronics refurbishment, IT hardware support, data security, IT asset disposition (ITAD), or related technical environments.
Familiarity with electronics testing, repair, or data sanitization processes is strongly preferred.

Work Context:

This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs as an operational necessity to meet time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards.
