About the Role
Seeking a video editor with a strong design sense for a hybrid role. The position primarily involves video editing for various content types, including reels, training highlights, performance ads, and founder content, complemented by design support for carousels, thumbnails, and lower thirds. This role requires close collaboration with the senior creative team, providing backup coverage during absences or volume spikes. It offers a clear growth path into a fuller creative role for a proactive individual who can move fast, take feedback well, and is comfortable switching between video and design tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Reels, Shorts, and LinkedIn videos for clients across Pharma, BFSI, SaaS, and Healthcare
- Cut founder and team content, including LinkedIn videos, podcast clips, and training session highlights
- Add captions, motion text, lower-thirds, and brand-consistent end frames to videos
- Optimize videos for platform specs, including aspect ratios, hooks in the first 2 seconds, and retention pacing
- Edit case study videos, training session recaps, webinar cutdowns, and client testimonials
- Perform color correction, audio cleanup, and basic sound design for long-form video
- Cut and version performance ads for Meta, Google, and LinkedIn across multiple aspect ratios and hook variations
- Iterate ad creatives based on performance data from the media team
- Design carousels, static social posts, and ad creatives in Figma when the design queue overflows
- Build thumbnails, cover images, and motion graphics templates
- Cover the senior creative's design and video work during leave or volume spikes, including taking briefs, shipping first cuts, and routing for review without supervision
- Keep raw footage, project files, and exports organized in the company's Drive structure
- Maintain a library of reusable templates, motion presets, and brand assets
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional video editing experience (agency, in-house brand, or content studio)
- Confident proficiency in Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
- Comfortable using CapCut for short-form video editing
- Working knowledge of After Effects for titles, simple motion graphics, and basic keyframing
- Genuine design sense in Figma and/or Canva, capable of laying out clean carousels, ad creatives, or thumbnails
- Solid grasp of typography, hierarchy, color, and pacing in visual storytelling
- A showreel that includes at least one short-form social video, one long-form edit, and 3–5 design pieces
- Ability to see video and design as the same craft, comfortable switching between Premiere and Figma in the same day
- Capacity to move fast and handle same-day turnarounds for short-form content
- Ability to take feedback well and iterate without ego
- Proactive approach to backup coverage, anticipating needs when senior creative is unavailable
- Comfortable with GenAI tools (Runway, ElevenLabs, Descript, Midjourney) or excited to learn them
- Patience for branded social content, not exclusively cinematic/film-style
- Enjoys design work, as the role is genuinely 50/50 on busy weeks
- Capable of working independently without needing detailed briefs every single time
