About the Role
This role involves comprehensive client relationship management, from understanding unstated needs to managing expectations and ensuring client satisfaction. The successful candidate will own the narrative development for business problems, setting visual standards for executive-grade presentations, and translating client requests into actionable work plans. Key responsibilities include orchestrating delivery teams, leading client meetings, and leveraging AI as a force multiplier across all aspects of work, with a clear path to full delivery ownership and account leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the client relationship as primary point of contact on your accounts — reading unstated needs, managing scope and expectations, and keeping US clients (East and West Coast) confident and impressed.
- Own the narrative end to end: turn a business problem into a sharp, answer-first story, deciding what each deck argues, in what order, and why every slide earns its place.
- Set the visual standard by directing clean, executive-grade slides — 2x2s, value chains, patient journeys, category breakdowns — and briefing designers precisely on what "clean" means.
- Translate the client ask into a work plan: break requests into required analyses and deliverables, brief the Analytics Lead and analysts clearly, and pressure-test outputs for the "so what."
- Orchestrate the delivery team — analysts, designers, Analytics Lead — sequencing work, unblocking people, and holding the timeline without becoming a bottleneck.
- Prepare thoroughly for and lead every client meeting: status calls, working sessions, and final readouts, handling live questions and pushback with composure.
- Use AI as a force multiplier across research, synthesis, first-draft content, and deck building — and raise the team's game on doing the same.
- Grow into full delivery ownership, progressively taking over project delivery, team building, and account leadership from the founder.
Qualifications
- 7–8 years of experience in pharma/life-sciences consulting or advanced analytics, on a track that combines client interfacing with analytical work.
- Solid working knowledge of the US pharma commercial model — launch strategy, brand performance, patient journey, market access, HCP targeting, forecasting, competitive intelligence — and how each is typically analyzed.
- A demonstrable track record of strong decks with compelling narrative and clean, consulting-grade visuals; a portfolio or work sample will be expected.
- Client-facing poise: excellent verbal communication, strong emotional read of people, and the judgment to grasp quickly what a client is really after.
- Comfort directing a delivery team and managing multiple workstreams to deadline.
- Genuinely AI-native working style — already using AI tools to produce content and analysis faster and better, not merely AI-curious.
- Thorough, organized preparation as a default habit.
- Prior experience at a pharma/life-sciences consulting firm, analytics provider, or specialized agencies
- Familiarity with common pharma data sources (IQVIA, claims, Rx, specialty pharmacy).
- Depth in one or more therapeutic areas (oncology, rare disease, immunology).
- International study or work exposure (US/UK) and experience managing US clients across time zones.
