Job Role: HubSpot Development Engineer
Job Description:
HubSpot API Expertise:
- Familiarity with HubSpot’s REST APIs for CRM, and custom objects.
- Ability to implement OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Understanding of HubSpot’s rate limits (e.g., 100–190 requests per 10 seconds) and pagination handling.
Data Sync & Integration:
- Ability to design two-way or one-way sync using HubSpot Data Sync or custom APIs.
- Skills in ETL iPaaS platforms (Workato) for complex integrations.
- Understanding of field mapping, schema validation, and incremental sync strategies.
- Knowledge of data conflict resolution strategies for bi-directional sync.
Authentication & Security:
- Implement OAuth token refresh and secure storage of credentials.
- Apply role-based access control (RBAC) and encryption for sensitive data.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA).
Platform & Architecture Knowledge:
- HubSpot Developer Account Setup.
- Create sandbox environments for testing integrations.
- Develop & Register apps in HubSpot’s developer portal and configure scopes.
Backend System Architecture:
- Proficiency in languages like JavaScript (Node.js), Python, or Java for API integration.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for syncing customer data.
- Knowledge of real-time sync mechanisms (webhooks) vs. batch sync.
- UI Extensions.
- Experience with HubSpot’s UI Extensions (currently in beta) for embedded experiences.
