Role Description The Hub Business Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Patna, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Avanti hub and ensuring effective delivery of financial services in the assigned region. This role includes managing branch and field teams, monitoring portfolio quality, driving customer acquisition and retention, and ensuring compliance with NBFC/MFI policies and regulatory guidelines. The Hub Business Manager will plan and execute local business strategies, track performance against targets, and prepare regular operational and financial reports. The role involves close coordination with central teams, local partners, and community stakeholders to improve processes, enhance customer experience, and support sustainable growth. The manager will also be responsible for mentoring staff, conducting training, and fostering a culture of integrity, performance, and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Experience in branch or hub operations management, preferably in NBFC/MFI, banking, or financial services.
- Strong skills in sales and business development, including target planning, portfolio growth, and cross-selling of financial products.
- Proficiency in operational oversight, including process implementation, risk management, and compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Ability to analyze data and financial metrics, prepare reports, and use insights to improve performance and customer outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, including mentoring, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, field staff, partners, and local stakeholders.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms used in lending, customer onboarding, and field operations; openness to learning new technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or rural development is an advantage.
- Prior experience working in inclusive finance, microfinance, or underserved communities in Bihar or similar regions is preferred.
- Strong ethical orientation and alignment with Avanti’s mission of financial inclusion and socially responsible lending.
