Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HSE Engineer role based in Pan India. The HSE Engineer will oversee day-to-day health, safety, and environmental compliance for CGD operations, including pipeline construction, maintenance, and CNG/PNG distribution activities. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections; developing and implementing HSE procedures; and monitoring adherence to regulatory and company standards. The role involves investigating incidents, recommending corrective and preventive actions, and maintaining HSE documentation and reports. The HSE Engineer will also plan and deliver safety training, support emergency preparedness and response exercises, collaborate with operations and project teams, and promote a proactive safety culture across the site.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with experience applying best practices in industrial or utility environments.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Safety Engineering skills, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and control implementation.
- Candidates should possess Training skills, with the ability to design and deliver HSE training programs and toolbox talks for diverse workforce groups.
- Sound knowledge of relevant Indian HSE regulations, standards, and codes applicable to gas distribution and related infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent qualification; HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar) are an advantage.
- Proven experience in HSE roles within oil & gas, preferably involving CGD or pipeline projects.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, with proficiency in using MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
- Ability to work on-site, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with management, contractors, and field staff.
