On an internship or work placement, you'll develop the skills you need to thrive and explore the opportunities that come with working for one of the world's great international banks. These programmes are suitable for you if you're in your penultimate year of study or recently graduated. They'll give you a real-life insight into a future career. We use skill-based hiring to look beyond your CV because we know you're so much more than what you studied. We assess for the qualities that we know will mean you'll thrive at HSBC – if you can demonstrate those and have a willingness to never stop learning, we'll teach you the technical stuff. What to expect on an internship or work placement: 1. Induction training - Helps you connect your interests and personal skills with our purpose and values and understand how the bank works. 2. Technical skills development - Begin to build the skills you need for your future graduate role. 3. On the job learning - Take part in live work, developing skills in a real-world environment and get a feel for life on our graduate programme. 4. Speaker series - Hear from internal and external experts on key skills topics and the bank's strategic priorities. 5. HSBC university - Access thousands of online courses in the HSBC university. 6. LinkedIn learning licence - A year of unlimited access for self-development outside of the programme.
