Once you have submitted your application, if you are eligible, you'll be invited to complete our online assessments. There will be either one or two-stages, depending on the programme and market that you're applying to. The assessments will give you an insight into the life of graduates working at HSBC to help you better understand our values and culture. They also allow you to understand more about the specific business area you've applied to. The final stage is either an in-person Assessment Centre or Virtual Experience Day depending on the programme you've applied to. Our online assessments will present you with example work scenarios and you will need to respond in different formats. This could include multiple choice questions or written and video responses to help us assess your behavioural and cognitive skills to ensure they are a good match for the programme you've applied to. Our assessments have been tested for use with commonly used screen-readers and assistive software, however, if you experience any issues in accessing the assessments, our recruiters will be able to support you. Some of the features we have in our assessments that support accessibility include: All video and audio content has closed captions and transcripts You can zoom in or out of the content on the screen All text in the assessments is displayed at a minimum font size of 16px You can use your keyboard to navigate any assessment items All charts and graphs are clearly labelled so there is no requirement to distinguish between colours
