Global Data Scientist

The Global Data Science team at HSBC, with colleagues from across the Group, is building a culture of data-driven decision-making and applying best-in-class analytics and machine learning to transform how we serve our customers and run our business. You will help HSBC unlock the value of data and analytics to drive innovations that empower our frontline and optimise our operations. In this role, you will work on a range of high-impact strategic initiatives using cutting-edge analytical and machine learning techniques. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, solution architects, and business partners to design and implement analytic solutions that drive tangible business outcomes. Key aspects of the role include: • Leading the development of predictive models, optimisation algorithms, and other advanced analytics solutions to tackle complex business problems • Designing and implementing robust end-to-end analytic workflows, from data preparation to model deployment and monitoring • Proactively identifying new opportunities to leverage data and analytics to create business value • Driving the adoption of analytics by translating technical solutions into impactful business narratives • Mentoring and guiding junior data scientists to build a high-performing, inclusive team This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, agile team and make a meaningful impact on the digital transformation journey of a global financial institution.
