Position Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support our EV battery manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for spare parts management, maintenance system administration, documentation management, and various administrative support functions related to equipment maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Spare Parts Management
- Review and select spare parts specifications for production equipment
- Review and manage equipment documentation (BOM, drawings, technical documents, etc.)
- Prepare RFQ (Request for Quotation) documents and compare vendor quotes
- Coordinate spare parts purchasing requests with suppliers
- Conduct receiving inspection and quality verification
- Manage inventory and optimize stock levels
Maintenance System Operations
- Utilize and manage CMMS/EAM (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Maintain equipment history and maintenance records
- Support development of PM (Preventive Maintenance) and PdM (Predictive Maintenance) schedules
- Analyze system data and prepare reports
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
- Identify equipment issues and support root cause analysis
- Execute corrective maintenance tasks and assist in recovery actions
- Replace and install spare parts
- Support equipment inspection, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance tasks
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or managers in a timely manner
Training and Documentation Management
- Conduct user training for maintenance-related systems
- Create and maintain maintenance standards and operating procedures
- Manage maintenance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Update technical documentation and manuals
Administrative Support
- Support maintenance budget execution and cost management
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration
- Support maintenance improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Qualifications
Required
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Strong documentation and data management skills
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in maintenance or facilities engineering
- Experience with EV battery manufacturing equipment
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with SAP PM/ERP or other CMMS platforms
- Professional certifications in maintenance or quality management
- Project management experience
- Experience with continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, TPM, etc.)
