HR Manager – People & Culture
Role Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for building and running a high-performance, structured, and people-first organisation.
This role goes beyond traditional HR — it requires someone who can bring clarity, accountability, and consistency across hiring, performance, culture, and compliance, while supporting client’s ambition to operate at luxury hospitality standards with strong systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hiring & Talent Quality
● Own end-to-end recruitment across functions (FOH, therapists, operations, leadership roles)
● Ensure quality of hire aligned with client’s brand and service standards
● Build structured hiring processes: ○ Role clarity (JDs, scorecards)
○ Interview frameworks
○ Evaluation consistency
● Reduce dependency on founders for basic hiring decisions
2. Onboarding & Induction
● Design and run structured onboarding journeys (not ad hoc)
● Ensure every new hire is:
○ Operationally ready within defined timelines
● Create department-wise induction plans with clear ownership
3. Performance Management & Accountability
● Build and implement: ○ KRAs for all roles
○ Monthly performance check-ins
○ 3/6 month review systems
● Drive performance culture: ○ Clear expectations
○ Measurable outcomes
○ Timely feedback
● Partner with Ops to ensure accountability on floor performance
4. Compensation, Incentives & Payroll Governance
● Structure and manage: ○ Salary frameworks
○ Incentive plans (aligned to revenue, quality, and discipline)
● Ensure: ○ Accurate payroll
○ Clear maker-checker processes
○ Zero discrepancies across payouts
● Work closely with Finance for compliance and approvals
5. HR Operations & Compliance
● Own all HR processes: ○ Attendance, leave, rosters
○ Contracts, documentation
○ Statutory compliance
● Ensure policies are: ○ Clearly communicated
○ Consistently implemented (no exceptions culture)
6. Culture & Discipline
● Build a culture of: ○ Professionalism on floor
○ Ownership and accountability
○ Respectful but structured communication
● Address behavioural issues early and firmly
7. Training & Capability Building
● Identify training needs across teams
● Work with Ops and Leadership to:
○ Build training calendars
○ Track capability improvements
● Ensure consistency in: ○ Grooming standards
○ Service behaviour
○ Communication
8. Org Structure & Scale Readiness
● Support leadership in: ○ Org design
○ Role clarity
○ Reporting structures
● Build systems that are replicable across centres (Mumbai → Delhi → future locations)
What We Are Looking For
● 6–10+ years of experience in HR (preferably hospitality, wellness, luxury retail)
● Strong ability to build systems, not just manage processes
● High ownership — able to drive outcomes independently
● Comfortable handling both: ○ People sensitivity
○ Operational firmness
● Strong communication and documentation skills
● Detail-oriented with a bias for structure and clarity
Success in This Role Looks Like
● Hiring becomes predictable and high quality
● Teams are clear on expectations and accountable
● Payroll and incentives run with zero confusion
● HR is seen as a system builder, not a support function
Reporting Structure
● Reports to: COO / Founder’s Office
● Works closely with: Operations, Finance, Centre Leadership
