The HCM Lead is responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end Human Capital Management support for assigned business units in line with the Bank’s people strategy. The role involves managing a team of HCM Relationship Managers, driving talent acquisition outcomes, employee experience, engagement, retention, cost efficiency, compliance adherence, and strategic HR initiatives. The role holder acts as a strategic HR advisor to business leadership while ensuring strong governance, people capability building, and succession readiness within the team.
People Leadership & Team ManagementManage, coach, and develop 2+ direct reports (HCM RMs), ensuring role clarity, capability building, and performance delivery.Set clear KRAs for team members and drive achievement through regular reviews and feedback.Build internal succession pipeline within the HCM team for next-level roles.Ensure high levels of engagement, compliance discipline, and delivery quality within the team. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding ExcellenceDrive overall onboarding effectiveness with 95%+ overall onboarding and 90%+ position-wise onboarding.Ensure timely closures, adherence to approved hiring plans, and proactive stakeholder management.Monitor first payroll inclusion and Letter of Engagement (LoE) utilization with 85%+ accuracy.Govern sourcing mix to ensure <20% Managed Payroll/Consultant (MPC) hiring.
Ensure 95% of compensation cases are within approved benchmarks. Employee Engagement & ExperienceDrive engagement initiatives across mapped locations, including YES VIBE for MUBB & EBrB.Ensure:Branch visits for MUBB/EBrB at least once annually, ORRO/HO visits once per quarter for other SBUs (YP / MIB / TPD / BB / OSD).Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on employee experience, culture, and engagement matters. Cost Management & EfficiencyEnsure cost-efficient hiring aligned to approved budgets and compensation frameworks.Monitor offer exceptions and work closely with leadership to minimize deviations.Optimize hiring mix, internal mobility, and redeployment opportunities. Learning & DevelopmentConducts necessary data collation and analysis to assist HCM Team Lead in identification of learning & development needs of the BU / Division/ Department.Facilitate the Learning and Development process by assimilating the training needs of employees as per business requirement, individual aspirations and skill enhancementWorks closely with key stakeholders from YSB on a monthly / quarterly basis to address any challenges / issues in delivery of relevant training interventions as per established plan. Employee Engagement Participates in meetings with HCM Team Lead to plan and execute monthly and annual engagement activities and PAN Bank employee engagement activities / interventions (such as YES Connect, YES Club etc.).Build strong partnership & provide HR support to the leadership team of the region in order to achieve objectives, ensure alignment between biz. Plan & the employee constituency.Lead culture, change management, organizational & employee initiatives across regionEmployee queries resolution , Skip Level Meetings,Analyzes data, identifies trends and suggests solutions to BU Head on talent management and way forward for identified high potential employees. Employee RelationsCommunicates relevant regulatory, information security, bank policies and guidelines to reduce cases of code of conduct / fraud in specific BUs. Employee RiskDrives awareness about relevant regulatory, information security, bank policies and guidelines to reduce cases of code of conduct / fraud. Strategic & Efficiency-Building ProjectsActively participate in and contribute to Central / Regional HR projects.Initiate and lead at least one new HR project or process improvement initiative.Drive automation, standardization, and process efficiency in HR delivery.Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year.Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the reporting manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means which go beyond just training.Understands the competencies relevant to his/her role, and works towards displaying as well as developing these effectively.
Keeps abreast of relevant professional/industry developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional networks
- Follows risk policy and processes to mitigate the operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks as instructed by the departmental manager.
Executes the established internal control systems and compiles relevant information for departmental audits, as necessary.
