Experience: 5–8 years (minimum 3 years in manufacturing setup handling multi-state / multi-factory compliance)

Core responsibilities:
1. End-to-end ownership of all HR statutory compliances across HAL units — PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, Shops & Establishments, Factories Act, Contract Labour (CLRA), POSH, Maternity Benefit, and applicable state-specific labour laws.
2. Timely filing of all returns, challans, and registers; maintenance of statutory records as per audit-ready standards.
3. Liaison with PF/ESI/Labour department officials, inspectors, and external consultants. Handle inspections, notices, and assessments.
4. Manage contractor compliance — verify PF/ESI payments, wage registers, and license validity for all contract manpower.
5. Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors. Own the closure of every HR-related audit observation with documented evidence.
6. Build a monthly compliance dashboard and a 12-month statutory calendar with zero-miss tracking.
7. Drive POSH compliance — IC constitution, training, annual returns.
8. Stay current on changes in labour codes (the 4 new codes) and ensure HAL's readiness.
Must-have profile:
- Graduate, preferably with PG/Diploma in Labour Laws, IR, or HR (MLW / LLB / PGDLL / MBA-HR).
- Deep working knowledge of labour law portals — EPFO, ESIC, Shram Suvidha, state labour portals.
- Prior experience in a mid-to-large manufacturing company with multiple plants is mandatory.
- Strong documentation discipline. Must be able to withstand an audit unsupervised.
- Working knowledge of Zoho People / Payroll is a plus.
