About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ERP HR: Payroll Consultant to join our dynamic team at Tata Consultancy Services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SAP HR modules, Time Management, and Payroll, with a focus on delivering end-to-end implementation and support. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of SAP core HR modules, personnel calculation rules, schema modifications, and payroll configuration, particularly in the context of Australia and New Zealand markets. As a Payroll Consultant, you will be responsible for managing complex payroll processes, resolving system defects, and guiding development teams to implement customized solutions aligned with client requirements. You will work across various projects, ensuring seamless integration of SAP HR modules with other enterprise systems and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in SAP HR, Time Management, and Payroll. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Certification in SAP HR modules and payroll processes will be an added advantage. Candidates should have proven experience with at least two end-to-end SAP HR and Payroll implementations, demonstrating their ability to handle complex configurations and customizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities, are essential. Knowledge of SAP integration points, workflow functionalities, and reporting tools such as CDS Views is desirable. Familiarity with payroll regulations in Australia and New Zealand will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

As a SAP ERP HR: Payroll Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Applying your extensive SAP HR, Time Management, and Payroll experience to support and implement client requirements effectively.
  • Configuring and customizing SAP core HR modules including Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), and Time Management (TM).
  • Developing and modifying personnel calculation rules (PCR) and schemas to meet specific payroll processing needs.
  • Leading end-to-end SAP HR and Payroll implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
  • Providing technical support by analyzing and resolving defects related to SAP PA, OM, TM, and Payroll modules.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP HR modules with other enterprise systems and workflows.
  • Guiding and mentoring development teams to develop, configure, and implement solutions aligned with business requirements and standards.
  • Utilizing knowledge of flexible workflows within Financial Accounting, including general journal entries, bank account requests, and payment approvals, to enhance system functionality.
  • Leveraging CDS Views and other reporting tools to develop complex reports that meet diverse business needs.
