We are a lean, fast-moving team working at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI — deploying solutions across pharma, smart cities, logistics, and industrial sectors in India and globally. As we scale, we need our internal engine to be just as reliable as the platforms we build for our clients.


Role Description

This is a combined, high-ownership position — one person, two domains. You will be responsible for both People & Culture and Office Operations at OneIoT. At a startup of our size, these two functions are deeply interconnected: the person who hires someone is also the person who ensures their workstation is ready, their onboarding is seamless, and their day-to-day work environment runs without friction.

 

We are not splitting this into two separate hires. We are looking for one versatile, organised, and people-smart professional who can hold both mandates with equal care and competence. Qualifications

Your mandate spans two equally important domains. Expect to spend roughly equal time across both, though the balance will shift week to week depending on what the business needs most.

Must-Have

•    2–5 years of experience spanning HR and/or operations — ideally both, in a startup or tech company environment

•    Hands-on recruitment experience: sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and closing offers

•    Working knowledge of Indian labour law, PF/ESI, and payroll coordination

•    Vendor management experience: negotiations, contract tracking, and invoice processing

•    Strong organisational skills — you manage multiple priorities without dropping any

•    Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive) and HRIS tools (Zoho People, Keka, or similar)

•    Clear written and verbal communication — you represent the company in both people conversations and vendor interactions

•    High reliability and ownership mindset — you solve problems without being asked twice

Good to Have

•    Prior experience as a first or sole HR hire in a startup — you know what it means to build functions from scratch

•    Basic understanding of accounting tools (Tally, Zoho Books) and GST/TDS compliance

•    Experience supporting founders in an EA or Chief of Staff capacity

•    POSH compliance knowledge — IC committee formation and awareness training

•    Employer branding exposure: LinkedIn Careers page, Glassdoor, and startup job boards
