About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Manager & Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in building and scaling a high-performance workforce capable of supporting Zoid's ambitious projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end talent acquisition, designing effective recruitment strategies, and managing HR operations to ensure a seamless employee lifecycle. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent leadership skills, and deep understanding of the technical landscape, particularly within the deep-tech industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with department heads to understand staffing needs, source top-tier talent from diverse channels, and foster a positive organizational culture aligned with Zoid's strategic goals.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates with a technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, complemented by relevant HR experience, will also be considered. A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in talent acquisition and recruitment within deep-tech industries is essential. Experience in HR operations, performance management, and familiarity with AI-driven recruitment tools will be highly advantageous. The candidate should possess strong technical understanding to evaluate complex profiles effectively and demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Indian labour laws and HR compliance is mandatory, along with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition & Hiring Systems: Lead the full recruitment lifecycle from role definition to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Design structured hiring procedures, including screening, technical assessments, and interview frameworks. Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop workforce plans. Source candidates across multiple categories such as deep-tech engineers, researchers, domain experts, freelancers, skilled technicians, operational staff, and interns. Maintain a strong talent pipeline and candidate database for future hiring. Manage assessment platforms for technical evaluations and build relationships with academic institutions for campus hiring programs. Conduct bulk hiring during production and trial phases, benchmarking market compensation and leading salary negotiations.
- HR Operations & Organizational Development: Oversee core HR functions, including HR software management, employee records, and documentation. Enhance employer branding through targeted campaigns and social media engagement. Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws, statutory requirements, and employment contracts. Coordinate with finance for payroll processing, audits, and manpower cost tracking. Lead performance management cycles, including goal setting, feedback, reviews, and development plans. Develop and implement training programs to foster continuous employee growth. Track recruitment metrics to evaluate hiring effectiveness and optimize strategies. Conduct onboarding, orientation, and manage sensitive HR issues such as conflict resolution and exit processes. Utilize AI tools for automation in recruitment activities, including resume shortlisting, candidate scoring, and interview question generation.
