Job Summary:
The HR Manager leads all human resources functions for the dealership, aligning HR strategy with business objectives to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive, productive work environment across sales, service, parts, and admin departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR & Business Partnership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies supporting dealership growth, profitability, and culture.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR matters, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Lead recruitment for sales consultants, service technicians, admin, etc., using social media and other channels.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to efficient onboarding and integration.
- Employee Relations & Culture:
- Address employee grievances, resolve conflicts, and manage disciplinary actions.
- Champion a positive, engaging culture reflective of dealership values, focusing on retention.
- Performance Management & Development:
- Oversee performance appraisal systems that drive high performance.
- Identify training needs (sales, technical, soft skills) and manage development programs (L&D).
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer competitive pay plans, benefits (health, retirement), and payroll coordination.
- Ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Compliance & Policy:
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws .
- Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- HR Operations & Reporting:
- Manage HR information systems (HRIS) and maintain accurate employee records.
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, recruitment efficiency) for management reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
- Proven HR management experience, preferably in retail, automotive, or a similar high-turnover environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation, benefits, and HR best practices.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency with HR software and data analysis.
