Role Overview
The Manager HR role will be responsible for driving end-to-end HR operations and people practices for the In-Patient Department (IPD) of the Hospital and clinics. The role requires close partnership with clinical and operations teams to ensure effective manpower management, employee engagement, compliance, and smooth day-to-day HR support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
- Act as the HR SPOC for the IPD business unit and clinics including nursing, support functions, and allied healthcare teams.
- Partner with department heads to address people-related challenges and improve team effectiveness.
- Drive workforce planning and manpower optimization for the IPD function.
Talent Acquisition Onboarding
- Coordinate and support hiring for clinical and non-clinical roles within IPD.
- Ensure timely onboarding, documentation, and induction of new employees.
- Work closely with recruitment teams to manage critical and high-volume hiring requirements.
Employee Relations Engagement
- Build strong employee connect across shifts and departments.
- Address employee grievances and support conflict resolution in a timely and professional manner.
- Drive engagement initiatives, R R programs, and employee communication activities.
Performance Management
- Support goal setting, performance reviews, and performance improvement interventions.
- Partner with managers on capability building and team development initiatives.
HR Operations Compliance
- Ensure adherence to HR policies, attendance processes, statutory requirements, and disciplinary practices.
- Maintain employee records and support audits/compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with payroll and HR operations teams for employee lifecycle management.
Learning Development
- Identify training needs across IPD teams.
- Coordinate behavioural and functional training programs, especially for frontline healthcare staff.
Culture Employee Experience
- Promote a patient-centric and collaborative work culture.
- Ensure high standards of employee experience and HR responsiveness across the hospital unit.
Desired Candidate Profile
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
- 6–10 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitals, healthcare, or service-led organisations.
- Strong stakeholder management and employee relations capabilities.
- Experience managing frontline workforce and shift-based operations.
- Good understanding of labour compliance and HR operations.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
