About The Role
The Plant HR Manager at Pintola is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all human resource functions at our manufacturing plant. The role involves aligning HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring statutory compliance, and fostering a performance-driven culture. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and safety compliance. This role requires a proactive leader capable of handling a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on building a disciplined, engaged, and compliant team that supports Pintola’s vision of excellence in the food industry.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 4–5 years specifically in plant or manufacturing HR, preferably within the Food or FMCG sectors. A strong understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance is essential. Candidates should have proven experience in industrial relations, workforce management, and compliance standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, and ISO. A relevant postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or PGDM in HR or equivalent is preferred. Hands-on experience with HRMS and payroll systems is highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, shop-floor environment.
Responsibilities
The Plant HR Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all HR functions at the manufacturing plant, including but not limited to:
- HR Operations & Plant HR Management: Oversee onboarding, attendance management, payroll coordination, and exit processes. Maintain HR systems, employee records, and ensure statutory documentation is up-to-date.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Manage recruitment for plant roles such as operators, technicians, and supervisors. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to forecast manpower needs and ensure timely, cost-effective hiring.
- Employee Relations & Industrial Relations: Foster a positive work environment by managing grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Handle union interactions and maintain IR stability.
- Statutory Compliance & Legal: Ensure adherence to all relevant labour laws including PF, ESIC, Factory Act, and CLRA. Maintain compliance records and coordinate with government authorities during inspections.
- Performance Management & Development: Drive performance appraisal systems, identify training needs, and implement learning & development initiatives. Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.
- Payroll & Compensation: Oversee payroll processing, validate inputs, and ensure accuracy in wages, statutory deductions, and overtime calculations.
- HR Policies & Culture Building: Implement HR policies, SOPs, and promote a culture of discipline, safety, and ethical practices. Drive employee engagement activities to enhance retention.
- Health, Safety & Compliance Culture: Collaborate with the EHS team to ensure safety compliance and support audits related to food safety standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, and ISO. Promote hygiene and safety standards across the plant.
