Role Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to oversee recruitment, payroll coordination, employee engagement, and HR operations for employees based in the UK and India. The role requires strong knowledge of employment practices across both regions, the ability to manage multicultural teams, and experience handling end-to-end HR functions in a growing organization.
The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to build people processes, ensure compliance, support employee wellbeing, and create a positive work culture across locations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end hiring for UK and India teams.
- Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs.
- Create job descriptions and manage job postings.
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, recruitment agencies, and referrals.
- Conduct screening interviews and coordinate technical/business interviews.
- Handle offer negotiations and onboarding processes.
- Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
Payroll & HR Operations
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing for UK and India employees.
- Ensure payroll accuracy including salaries, bonuses, reimbursements, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Work with finance/accounting teams or payroll vendors.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave tracking, and HR documentation.
- Support HR audits and maintain compliance documentation.
- Manage employee contracts, confirmation letters, and policy updates.
Compliance & Employment Regulations
- Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and India labor regulations.
- Support visa, work permit, and employment documentation where applicable.
- Maintain HR policies aligned with legal and organizational standards.
- Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and employee relations professionally.
- Monitor statutory obligations including PF, ESI, gratuity, tax-related documentation, pensions, and leave regulations.
Employee Welfare & Engagement
- Drive employee wellbeing initiatives and engagement activities.
- Handle employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace support.
- Develop programs that improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Organize performance review cycles and employee feedback processes.
- Promote an inclusive and collaborative work culture.
- Support learning and development initiatives.
HR Strategy & Reporting
- Provide HR reports and workforce insights to leadership.
- Track hiring metrics, attrition, employee engagement, and HR KPIs.
- Recommend process improvements and HR automation opportunities.
- Support organizational growth and workforce planning.
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience with exposure to both UK and India operations.
- Experience managing recruitment and payroll processes.
- Strong understanding of UK and Indian labor laws.
- Experience handling employee relations and HR operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in HR.
- HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI.
- Experience in IT, technology, consulting, or multinational organizations.
- Familiarity with HRMS and payroll software.
- Experience working with remote or hybrid teams.
