Role Description
The HR L&D Corporate Partnerships Director is a contract, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving strategic relationships and growth for the Boardroom To Bollywood Leadership Programme. This role involves identifying, approaching, and securing corporate clients and institutional partners, with a focus on HR and L&D leaders who can sponsor executive participation in the program. The Director will design and implement partnership strategies, manage the full new business development cycle, and create proposals and presentations that align the programme’s offerings with organizational needs. Day-to-day tasks include conducting outreach and meetings, nurturing long-term relationships, coordinating with internal teams to deliver partner projects, monitoring sales pipelines, and reporting on partnership performance. The role also requires close collaboration with SJ Studios leadership to refine offerings based on partner feedback and market trends.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Partnerships, with the ability to build and maintain long-term, value-driven relationships.
- Proven experience in New Business Development and Sales, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and closing agreements with corporate clients.
- Understanding of Philanthropy and corporate social responsibility initiatives, with the ability to link leadership development to broader impact goals.
- Background in HR, Learning & Development, or executive education, preferably working with leadership development or experiential learning programs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and HR/L&D decision-makers.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple partnership projects simultaneously, and deliver results within contract timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in L&D or leadership development are an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Indian corporate landscape and comfort engaging with diverse organizations across sectors.
Consultative Selling
- Understand each organisation's leadership challenges and business priorities.
- Position the appropriate programme based on organisational objectives.
- Work alongside the SJ Studios team during proposal discussions and solution design.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Represent SJ Studios professionally throughout the engagement process.
- Ensure a seamless transition from initial conversation to programme delivery.
Programme Collaboration
Where appropriate, collaborate with our internal team to customise programmes to meet client requirements.
Professionals with facilitation experience may also have the opportunity to facilitate programmes.
