Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an HR/IR Manager located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The HR/IR Manager will oversee human resources operations, including formulating and implementing HR policies, managing employee benefits, and handling personnel management. The role also includes supervising HR processes, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, fostering employee development, and managing relationships between management and employees. Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Industrial Relations & Compliance: Manage plant-level labour relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions. Ensure strict compliance with all statutory labour laws, factory acts, and local workforce regulations.
- Workforce Systematization & Payroll Integrity: Design and enforce foolproof, delegable systems for daily attendance tracking and shift protocols. Implement rigorous checks to eliminate payroll leakages, specifically mitigating risks such as "ghost workers" in factory environments.
- Talent Acquisition & Lifecycle Management: Drive end-to-end recruitment for all levels—from corporate executives and technical plant staff to ground-level kitchen and security personnel.
- Standardize onboarding and offboarding procedures.
- Employee Security & Protocol Management: Develop and oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs) for workplace security, including general shift protocols and specific security measures (such as standardized frisking/safety protocols for male and female staff).
- Performance & Culture: Act as the custodian of organizational ethics. Build appraisal systems and training frameworks that are straightforward, objective, and aligned with our ethos of structured, standardized operations.
Must-Have Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources (MBA/PGDM), Master of Social Work (MSW), or a related field.
- Deep, practical knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliances (PF, ESI, Factory Act), and industrial dispute resolution.
- Proven ability to design and implement robust administrative systems (SOPs) that leave no room for ambiguity.
- Strong investigative and auditing skills to manage payroll integrity and daily production/staffing reports.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in local languages to effectively mediate ground-level plant issues.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Human Resources and HR Management
- Ability to develop and implement HR Policies
- Expertise in managing Employee Benefits and Personnel Management
- Proficient in conflict resolution and industrial relations practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Understanding of labor laws and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Prior experience in a similar HR/IR managerial position
Minimum Experience Required
5 - 8 years of progressive experience, with a mandatory mix of both corporate HR generalist duties and hands-on factory Industrial Relations.
