Role Description The HR Generalist will manage a broad range of human resources activities for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, supporting employees and leadership with compliant and efficient HR processes. This full-time, on-site role is based in Roorkee and involves administering HR policies, overseeing employee benefits, and assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and documentation for factory staff. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining employee records, supporting performance management, handling employee queries, and coordinating with plant management on workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist will also help ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, support audits, and contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture. This role may require regular interaction with multiple stakeholders, including production, QA/QC, and other operational teams within the pharmaceutical factory.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills, with experience in generalist HR functions within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Candidates should possess skills related to HR Policies, including drafting, implementing, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration, including managing payroll inputs, leave, insurance, and other statutory and non-statutory benefits.
- Relevant experience in factory or plant HR operations, including handling shift schedules, attendance, and coordination with production and quality teams, is highly beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliances (e.g., PF, ESI, gratuity), and HR documentation practices in an industrial setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work on-site in Roorkee, manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and use HRIS or relevant software tools efficiently.
