Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned HR Generalist with 5+ years of experience in HR operations, policy formulation, employee engagement, and compliance management within a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in drafting and implementing HR policies, managing employee lifecycle processes, handling compliance, and driving HR operational excellence in the EdTech industry.
This role is focused exclusively on HR operations and policy management, with no recruitment responsibilities involved.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Policy Development & Implementation
- Draft, review, and implement HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks, and workplace guidelines.
- Develop and manage policies related to attendance, leave, code of conduct, performance management, employee benefits, hybrid work culture, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure all policies comply with labor laws and organizational standards.
- Conduct policy communication and awareness sessions across teams.
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage complete employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmations, promotions, transfers, and exit formalities.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and HRMS databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance management, leave tracking, and employee documentation.
- Handle issuance of HR letters including appointment, increment, warning, experience, and relieving letters.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address employee grievances and maintain healthy employee relations.
- Drive employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and organizational culture programs.
- Support performance management processes and employee communication initiatives.
- Foster a positive, transparent, and employee-friendly work culture.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, labor laws, and organizational policies.
- Handle POSH-related documentation, awareness sessions, and compliance tracking.
- Support HR audits, documentation reviews, and process governance.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all HR practices.
HR Analytics & Process Improvement
- Prepare HR MIS reports, attrition reports, attendance dashboards, and policy compliance trackers.
- Identify gaps in HR processes and recommend operational improvements.
- Assist in HR automation and HRMS optimization initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in HR policy drafting and implementation.
- Extensive experience in HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Sound knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRMS tools and MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
- Prior experience in EdTech, Education, Training, or Startup ecosystem preferred.
- Experience working on HRMS platforms such as HRMantra, Keka, Zoho People, etc. will be an added advantage.
