Job Title: HR Director – India
Location: Gurgaon (Onsite)
Experience: 10+ years (relevant HR leadership experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned HR leader to drive the people strategy for our India operations. The HR Director will act as a strategic partner to business leadership, overseeing the full spectrum of human resources functions while enabling organizational growth, culture transformation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & LeadershipDefine and implement the India HR strategy aligned with global and business objectives
- Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational design, workforce planning, and transformation initiatives
- Talent ManagementLead talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development programs
- Build strong pipelines for critical and leadership roles
- Employee Engagement & CultureDrive initiatives to enhance employee experience, engagement, and retention
- Foster a high-performance and inclusive work culture
- HR Operations & ComplianceOversee HR operations including payroll, policies, and lifecycle management
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and regulatory frameworks
- Performance & RewardsDesign and implement performance management frameworks
- Drive compensation, benefits, and reward strategies aligned with market benchmarks
- Stakeholder ManagementAct as a trusted advisor to business heads and global HR teams
- Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Team LeadershipLead and mentor the India HR team, ensuring capability building and scalability
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience leading HR for India or a large business unit
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR best practices
- Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation and change management
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience in scaling teams in fast-paced or high-growth environments is preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Background
- Experience in consulting, technology, BFSI, or high-growth sectors
- Exposure to global HR frameworks and cross-border stakeholder management
- MBA/PGDM in HR or related field preferred
